The entire School was set agog when these distinguished OldBoys started arriving to celebrate the School that made them.
The young boys of the 70s who are now big men, shakers and movers of the world started exchanging pleasantries, cracking jokes to reminiscent their days of yore and how rascally some them were when they were in School.
It was actually a day to mark the tradition of excellence that was impacted on them when they were Students and which made them what they are now.
Among them where reputable Professors in various Universities here in Nigeria and abroad. Captains of Industries, serving and retired Army Generals, seasoned Administrators,Legal luminaries and Businessmen among others.
Apart from wining and dinning with the Students,the occasion was staged in the School to encourage the present Students that they too can become great and that they needed to imbibe the School moto “Non Sibi, Sed Aliis” e.i “Not for us but for others” in to to .
This the set demonstrated when they gave TEN INDIGENT but BRILLIANT students ONE HUNDRED THOUSANDS NAIRA financial assistance to each Student.
The Students that benefited from the financial assistance are:
1. Coker Òkìkì.
2.Odunfa Olawale.
3.Nurudeen Fatiu.
4.Adeyemi Joshua.
5. Iwara Joseph.
Two of the Teaching Staff were also recognized for their hardworking and creativities.
They are :
1. Oriola Olánrewájú.
2. Onabowale Adewale
To proof that “Teachers rewards” are on earth,some of their former Teachers were also honoured.
Among the former Teachers honoured was Mr Sóewu,an Old Boy himself who taught Physics in the School and later became the School Principal.
The Set was happy on the accelerated development of the School and still promised to assist the School towards its growth.
